Fuel Level Sender

Post by Action » Fri Jul 23, 2021 1:53 pm

I didn't find with search.
Does it matter which wire of the sender goes to which wire of the harness? The harness has 58x and 28x. One of those is ribbed. My sender has no number tags and no ribs on rubber. I tried it both ways, and the gauge went to the same spot. almost empty (which it is). I know it is resistance based but didn't know if the different wire numbers were for a reason.

Polarity doesn't matter. Resistance is resistance. Perhaps labeled at factory for easier assembly.

Problably. If it's a REV, then rear diff coolant lines are ontop of frame.

Yup. I will start in the morning. I have it down to about 2” of fuel in tank. Thunderstorm coming now...
