NOTICE: WARMING HMMWV INPUT SEAL SLEEVE REPAIR - Wrong size

Post by GPW43 » Mon May 10, 2021 3:52 pm

Hello guys
I bought a SEAL sleeve repair kit from ilminterprise on E$pay to make a quick repair and the sleeve doesn't fit the 7K CV joint. He claims it does fit yet it is 1/4' too small in OD - that isn't even close. I contacted him and he says I have 12K shafts on my M998 that is why it doesn't fit. I don't even have 10K shaft let alone 12K which requires new hubs etc. SAVE your $20 as that sleeve don't fit your application even for quick repairs. I have new CVs coming instead.

That company has always been a bunch of a**holes...won’t buy anything from them for many years.

Thanks
I figured that much thus my lesson was a cheap one, only cost me $20. Will never buy anything unless he stands by his sale and takes it back at his cost when it don't fit.
