cross member brake guards question

Looks like TM has wrong hw again or I have a unique crossmember. TM calls for long bolts going all the way through the crossmember just like the rears. My front crossmember has threaded holes though instead. I assume I’ll just use shorter bolts with lock washers?

Yes, the front holes are threaded on mine as well.

Here’s another question about brake guards. TM doesn’t show these spacers but this pic from the m1151 walk around site looks like there are some small square ones on the guard on the right side of this pic. Do I need those?

I didnt need one at that location. I think i did at the rear.
