4l80e Bracket bolts

Post by ohiohmmwv » Fri Jul 05, 2019 10:43 am

The TM shows a different bolt for each side of the transmission bracket. Is that an error or is that correct? It shows the shoulder bolt on one side and a regular bolt on the other.

Number 23 and number 22.

I’m thinking there must be a transmission line or something else that also gets bolted down to that shoulder bolt?

It's not a shoulder bolt, I guess you could call it a double ended bolt? Anyway, the other end secures the cable that runs to the frame.
