Did you install the yolk from your old rear driveshaft onto the rear of the new one?

Yuppers George
Took the old yoke off and put er on the new shaft. I also had to recut the threads on the 4 bolts because they were a lil f*ed up from years of wear and tear and only being threaded on the end. To allow the bolt to tighen up all the way I had to use the tap and die set to allow them to sit properly.

I'd guess your bolts were too long, because you were not using the Brake Rotor between the driveshaft and the diff yoke. Nice idea on using the yoke from the old driveshaft. The driveshaft still has enough room at the T/Case end too. What more could you ask for?

Yeah the bolts were a smidge long once the old brake rotor was out. But I was in the home streach to get it done and I just cleaned up the threads.
As for using the the old yoke it really wasnt an idea..it was do it or dont have a truck that will run... lol

Old thread alert but very useful regardless. I just purchased an AMG 242 for kicks and am considering the same swap at some point.
