LEDs

Post by Action » Sun Jul 14, 2019 7:07 pm

I have always liked the Trucklite over the Grote. I see the taillights on epay that seem to have like 100 led inside the lens. When I look at the taillights on the Trucklite site, the same model number looks like it only has only a few led bulbs. Does anyone know a difference in these? Or maybe it is just the angle of the cameras?
Any pics of the lower counts lamps lit up on dim and bright?

ok, then I am still trying to see what they look like lit up. I emailed several vendors weeks ago with no responses.

I guess I will just buy a pair and see what they look like since no vendor can help. Maybe they take returns...

On another note, I was looking at an HMMWV at a Jeep dealer this week. It belongs to an employee. He has Grote taillights. They stick out past the fender about 1". Is this normal for all LED taillights? Or maybe when used with factory buckets? Any of you have experience with this? Or if your LED are flush, what brand are they?

Thanks, Greg. That is exactly what I was looking for! I was going to get the new Trucklite, but probably not now. They went from 60 dim LED to 6 ! WOW! I am not impressed with the new style at all. I wonder why they did that.

Thanks,
Jason

Hard to find tan truck lite front assemblies. Lots of tan grotes fronts.

Greg, you should do photo stuff for a 2nd career! :D

I found trucklite tan fronts with buckets for $182 at a couple places. But, they are the new style with few LEDs.

And now I just found DIALIGHT and AURORA brands. AAARRRRGGGHHH!! :(
I placed an order for a Dialight to try. It looks like it has about 35 bulbs in it?
