Placement and mounting of gun shields

Post by Hell On Wheels » Tue Jul 10, 2018 6:18 pm

I'm checking if you can validate the location or placement to mounting my shields. Here is what I have

In this picture in order for the hatch to open and align it needs to clear (5th arrow) the flat piece of r/s of shield and clear the r/s shield handle. The other question I have is how does the shield get mounted to the turret on the rear?
Image

it also sits on top of rear hatch hinge which may require to be cut out (4 arrow). Is this right? The hatch sits perfect when I lean it back.

in this picture how does or where does this bar get mounted? It clears the gun mount when I flipped upside down in the picture. Do I need or missing a bracket?

If anybody has pictures of there after market shields please pass them along.

Thanks in advance.

When I had my training cupola mounted on top I removed the hatch.
It was similar in size to that one you have pictured.
The newer style cupolas use a different hatch that folds up towards the back and locks back.

Would you happen to have a picture of that. I think I can mod my hatch to swing open like that. Well Its all mounted and test fitted finally.
