Hi George,

The seals (viton I think) are backwards compatible from R134a to R12 systems.
But not upwardly compatible from R12 to R134a

Bumping an old thread. Trying to help a friend get A/C in his M998. Using a Red Dot system and he wants to use the wheel well condenser to save space in the bed. Anyone know if one of these units is sufficient? I see the M1151's use two of them. Odd setup! Thanks! - Jack

Right fender unit is for the front, left rear is for the rear blower...
