Wisconsin Military Vehicle Club/Group started

Post by creinemann » Sat Mar 31, 2007 12:41 pm

I have been searching for an MV club or organization in Wisconsin. No Luck as of Yet, so... I am interested in forming a local chapter or affiliate group of the MVPA (or not, depends on the MVPA and organizational changes)

Either way, I would like to hear from anyone interested in starting a club here in WI. I am in SE Wisconsin, Waukesha area, but the group could/should be regional. Anyone interested, please contact me at creinemann@crwdesigns.com

Have you thought about the REDBULL out of Minnesota with members in the surrounding states? I just joined this year and went to the meeting at Army Cars USA in Spooner, WI, what a great time and lots of info......

I Joined chicagoland, and sent the membership app in for the MidWest Military Vehicle Association (near Milwaukee) Haven't heard from them at all.

National sent me the list of Wisconsin MVPA members, as I am looking to form a local chapter affiliate. I'll start working on that soon. I am planning on heading up to Spooner for that event as well.

Well, I am wondering where you are getting your information from?
You are on the verge of slander and nothing that you have stated ( true or not) should prevent you or anyone else from joining the Red Bull.
We have a good bunch of members and have a lot of fun at events throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. What's your problem with that? Mind your manners justifier......

Anybody from the Madison area ? 8)

Its fun driving around alone in your rusty 2.5Ton Mil spec 6X6 but it would be more to do with a group of guys driving the pile of parts you are so I'm all for forming some sort of group club ect so I don't feel like a hillbilly making his 1 trip to town run.... Even if I'm the only guy with a rusty beater....

Hi,
Carl here, and yes I know the feeling about driving the green machines alone..sigh...
Anyway i have attended about 14 car shows in the area this summer with my M37 and my son and his 1943 MB, and surprise surprise, we have been the ONLY MV to make an appearance. 4 big parades... only MV's were ours.

Alway interested in creating an MVPA affiliate

I think most of us started with a rusty MV at one time or another. Locating a club in your area is sometimes tough. There are lots of MV owners spread around, maybe more than you think. Organizing them into a group with scheduled activities takes talent, magic and organizational skils that require spending lots of time and bucks.
Sometimes demographics prevents a group from forming, they gotta have a place to call home and something to keep them interested in meeting regularly, once you have that figured out you will have a club.
Check the MVPA directory for members in your area.

Yea I know... I just get the feeling that some guys don't want my rusty fenders any place near there show machine....

Or that I'm not as good or as cool as they are because of it....

Its a 2.5 ton ten wheel drive truck tractor that's 55+ years old that I got for $1500 and drove it 80 miles home....

It had been parked in a snow bank deep enough to cover most of the tires she walked right out and to home we went fired up almost instantly....

2 doors 2 fender 1 hard top weather sealing coat of paint some tires n poof its a show truck...
