California Plymouth meet update

Post by Kurt Lesser » Sat Mar 05, 2022 8:58 am

Just a quick reminder that registration for the upcoming Plymouth meet closes on March 24th. After that we return any unused sites to the 49er RV Park and late registrants may or may not receive the reduced MVCC resort rates. The registration form can be found in the MVCC Newsletter, online at the MVCC website: www.mvccnews.net, or by email request to JoAnn at mvcccampmistress@ yahoo.com.

JoAnn handles the reservations for both the 49er RV Park (trailers and RVs) and the Amador County Fairgrounds for campers. The MVCC collects the payments for the Fairgrounds campsites but payments for the sites in the 49er RV Park need to go directly to them. Chechs for RV spaces made out to the MVCC will be returned as we cannot forward them to the 49er.

We are asking everyone planning to attend the meet to please submit a registration form whether your in the RV Resort or the Fairgrounds. This helps us keep track of all attendees for our "WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU" board and keeps you in your space for 2023.

Time is short so if your planning on attending and have not already done so, please fill out that registration form and send it in right away.

Thanks! Hope to see you all there.

Yes. It'll cost you an 18 year old full bottle of Scotch to get in. :)

Just kidding. No fees or passes required to attend.

We only ask for a registration form if your planning on coming to RV, camp, or sell.

We welcome visitors to the event and there is onsite parking at no charge.

BTW, our personal preference is red wine!

Yeah the Scotch thing is a bit punitive. We could make that a requirement only to travel on our street. Set up two checkpoints?

Hmm...check points could work. A little tribute to get through.... :)

Bryan, The Amador Fairgrounds camping was only relocated to the Carnival Hill area because of the fires and has returned to the open field near the arena where it's been previously. Reservations are required if you want to attend and the registration form and payment for camping need to be sent in prior to the 25th of March. So if you want to come hop to it!

There are water and electric sites available at this time if you want one.

What Kurt was talking about was for campers. Commuters from home or hotel can park and get in for free, like what Kurt and Zeph said.

To make it really clear, if you wait to after March 25 to reserve a RV site at 49er, and to make a payment by then, you risk losing our group discount. Jo-Ann will return unreserved sites in our block, if any, back to 49er. People can still reserve one of them or another one if they have any, but will probably pay regular price. For example as I write this, the 49er reservation website says they have only two RV sites available for Wednesday checking out Saturday and they are $80 a nite pre-tax. Not great locations. These are not in our block. Our group deal is $62.48 including tax and sites in our block are generally around others here for our event.

Waiting to late March or into April to reserve a fairgrounds tent site is risky if sites are filling up there. I don't know the current count.
