Yes, you will be able to buy and sell from your Fairgrounds tent site. The Swap Meet will be happening in both the RV Park and the Fairgrounds. I talked to the maintenance manager at the Fairgrounds about the swap meet and he is excited to be able to put some jeep parts for sale in front of his shop (which is right next to the tent camping area).

Sorry Frenchman, I misread your post. Yes, you will be able to sell from your RV campsite (as well as the Fairgrounds if you camp there). The manager at the 49er RV Park approved the Swap Meet and is excited to see what we have.

Hi guys,
Rates for campsites at the 49er and the Fairgrounds will be published in the next MVCC newsletter. Look for JoAnn's article with many other interesting details.

We are putting together a list of military vehicle runs/convoys as well as social activities. So far we have trips planed to wineries (the "Wine Wednesday Convoy"), a trip to Sutter Creek for the ladies (Shopping and Brunch), and a Poker Rally set up to run MVs through the area around Plymouth. If there's enough time and interest, I will put together an off road excursion for MVs on local trails near the campgrounds.

There will also be two Showcases on Friday in the Fairgrounds Arena. One will be Bomb Service Trucks and GTBs. The other will be Jeeps. Watch for announcements with more information from the volunteer POCs putting together these Showcases!

My buddy Greg LaLonde(he planned and led the convoys at the last two Spring Meets) isn’t sure yet if he can come but if he can’t, I will, as Second in Command, plan and lead a luncheon convoy on a day yet to be decided(after I coordinate with the Club organizers). I’m thinking Thurs. or Fri. This looks like a great venue!

At MVCC Camp Plymouth, California April 19th 2019 Meet
This is the first time the MVCC April Meet is having a Showcase involving Ford GTB Burma Trucks! We are going to try and have as many GTB’s at this show as we can get. Don Gomes, our POC, will be contacting and working with GTB owners to get them to bring their vehicles to this Showcase. ANY and ALL GTB’s are WELCOME, running and non running, restored and non restored, we just want to have as many as possible so everyone can get a chance to see these AMAZING vehicles in all conditions in person.
Also at this meet we will have CHEVROLET M6 Bomb trucks! This is your chance to see a M6 parked next to a GTB bomb truck, and Chevy and a Ford version of the WW2 Bomb Trucks. These bomb trucks played a big role in WW2. Come see history live in person. Also wanted, BOMB Ordinance of any kind! Bring and Show it off!
There will be AWARDS!. There’s a 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place Award. For more information or if you have any questions about the showcase please call MVCC VP Don Gomes at (209)765-1273.

This showcase will be at the Military Vehicle Collectors of California Show and Swap Meet in Plymouth, California at 49er Village RV Park and Resort & Fairgrounds April 16th to 21st 2019. The Showcase will be Friday the 19th from 1PM to 4PM. Free entry and Free parking for everyone! Bring the family!

Anybody know the size of the camp sites at the fairgrounds, and are vendors and sellers
allowed to set up and sell there. Mike

Tent camping sites at the Fairgrounds are 20'x30'. Vendors and sellers will be able to set up and sell from their tent camping sites. If you need more space, I suggest renting more than one space. They're inexpensive ($25/night) and there are plenty of sites.

Fairgrounds sounds like an outstanding place.

Reminder that the entire event is the swap meet and vehicle display. Whether you are camping in a RV, travel trailer, toy hauler, or camper shell at 49er RV Village, or in a tent next door at the fairgrounds, or renting a campsite for selling or display and commuting from hotel or home, the event is whatever you make it. Display or sell your MV or militaria. Buy and socialize. Drive in the MV driving activities. It will be BIG!
