Spirit of '45 needs WWII era MV's on Aug 3/4

Post by toadmanstankpictures » Sat Jul 28, 2018 11:21 am

Robert Corpus of "Spirit of '45" is looking for vehicles to participate in their event next week at History Park, San Jose. They could really use a half-track, but of course, all WWII era military vehicles are welcome. Here's a link to their Facebook page:

Thanks for helping get the word out Chris. Please remind Robert that most MV owners need more notice about events, especially logistics and rules. He should know this by now. A Facebook page is not the best place to reach most MV owners. We have the monthly MVCC newsletter that reaches hundreds of members by snail mail, and a South Bay Vice President hungry to be fed event info so he can mention it in his column and put it into our printed event calendar on www.MVCCNews.net. There has been nearly zero info about this event coming to us that way, here on this forum, and over on the G503 Events forum which is read by MV owners who might not frequent this forum because they haven't spotted it or they don't think they should visit it (not true).

There will be at least two WW2 jeeps in attendance. I first heard of this from a fellow involved with Redwood City parades. The cutoff date for entries was 7/28/18 so I couldn't say whether there is any wiggle room for other club (or other) participants at this point. Our POC was Steve: steve@shmclassicmotors.com. Perhaps others can chime in. Requirements were an application and insurance information.
