camp petaluma convoy 2018.

Post by Greg Lalonde » Thu Nov 09, 2017 9:45 pm

i know its a way off,but i like to plan ahead.im going to try to plan another convoy to the coast.this time i would like to head to point reyes sea shore.its a little farther in driving distance, and driving time is a little longer then last springs convoy to dillion beach,,29.4 miles to be exact.but what a beautiful drive.dillons beach was 24 miles.there is an old radio station, that was built in 1929, and is still operating, and has been totally restored over the years buy volunteers.its an old time maritime broadcasting station called the KPH radio station, with old radio equipment, including old marconi radios.not that i know anything about old radios.the building is of artdeco design,i think this would be a good photo op with our vehicles. and they do give tours.also the road leading up to the station is called the cypress tree tunnel.google it.its pretty cool. maybe stop at fogs kitchen for lunch in inverness,or bring our own. (weather permitting of course) email me at greglalonde63@yahoo.com i will be posting flyers around the camp. HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Greg,

Sounds like a great idea. Is there anyway you can get this in the newsletter before the show? It will help get the info out.
