WC Spotted 1/11/2013 in Oregon City

Post by Wolfen » Sat Jan 12, 2013 7:47 am

I saw a Open Cab WC southbound on 82 Avenue about 12:30 pm yesterday. The WC was on the back of a Tow Truck that turned right on Redland Road just pat the Home Depot. I was wondering if it belonged to someone here?

Hello,
That is one of several MV's that are going to be sold from the Myron Curtis collection. Contact Steve Preston 503-805-9630 if your interested. He is handling the sales of all the MV's.
Thanks,

Apperantly he's not very interested in selling them. I called yesterday and left a Message and have yet to have him return my call.

I just spoke to him and unfortunately he doesn't have anything I'm interested in. But I did find out that he has moved some the Veichles to his House in Oregon City. Those will not be at the showings at Curtis Trailers. That being said I will definitely try to make time to go see the ones at Curtis Trailers. I'm looking for the following Veichles in Restored or in unrestored but complete condition. WC53, WC63, and M925A1/A2.

Wolfen, your earlier post from this morning

"Apperantly he's not very interested in selling them. I called yesterday and left a Message and have yet to have him return my call.",

is not only inacurate, but also full of spite. I recieved your voicemail message yesterday at 12:27pm and returned your call the same day at 5:28pm, leaving you a clear voicemail message for you to call me back anytime. Aparently you didn't listen to your voicemail messages until sometime today, after making your post this morning. I would think that you might at least check your messages before throwing me under the bus and making assumptions about my desire to sell these vehicles.

Next time check your facts before posting information that is ficticious and hurtful to other members in our club, like myself. You are way of base here.

I feel an apology is in order.

Steve

P.S. I do in fact have a nice complete unrestored WC63 in my shop which I have owned for several years, and might consider selling to a curtious G member, but you were too busy telling me what you didn't want after I took the time to verbally tell you all 23 vehicles I have been asked to sell.

After you told me what you had for sale I said that you didn't have anything for sale that I was interested in. That is unfortunate but it happens. I did thank you for taking the time to tell me what you had for sale. I definitely want to go see the Collection in person at one of the show times. I never told you what I was looking to buy. So you need to get your facts straight as well. As for the WC63 one will come around eventually from someone who is a bit more polite then you. I apoligize for not seeing your message before I posted. My Phone had accidentaly been left on Vibrate which is why I didn't answer when you called back the first time. I feel that an apology from you is in order for saying that I was to busy telling you what I was interested in Purchasing when I did no such thing. The Model T Paddy Wagon that you mentioned does sound like a interestinf Veichle to see. You need to check your facts also before posting ficticious and hurtful information.

Also since you mentioned the G-503 I don't see any mention of this sale anywhere else in the Forums. I wouldn't have had to call and ask you what you had for sale if this information had been available elswhere. I was going to tell some Collectors I know about what you have for sale but since you flamed me I won't tell them. I will also not be going to the events you have scheduled.

Apology accepted. I'm sure you are a nice guy, but don't jump to conclusions without giving someone the benefit of being able to respond.

I have not posted the collection for sale yet, because I have not determined the prices of these vehicles. I merely wanted to inform people of the closing of the museum, and a final chance for anyone to see it intact, before it is disasembled forever. Sorry that you chose to miss it, even if there isn't anything that you are interested in buying. There are many rare and one of a kind vehicles there, other than the military vehicles, and it is quite a site to see for anyone. It has never been open to the public for viewing and was by invitation only. Until now.

If you change your mind, I would be happy to show it to you.

Sincerely,

Steve Preston

In that case I will see if I can make it. Perhaps you could Post the Time and Dates of the Exhibit. Also are the Model T's going to be there?
