Carryall Woodie?

Post by Fushigi Ojisan » Thu Oct 27, 2022 8:31 am

Was hoping to summon Zeph to this thread but will ask generally

At 4:40 in on this video, they show two woodies side-by-side, the one on the right is a much-larger Dodge.

Figured I would ask here if anyone had even heard of a Woodie Carryall. Would that be pre- or postwar?

Curious more than anything

There are a couple of Jeeps at 7:28 at well, but not sure if its worth posting them in the MB/GPW forum

Also a GMC military bus at 11:13 USAF marked

Pretty cool. I'd say that the Dodge Woodies are likely some type of bus. Lots of little bus services back in the 1930's and 1940's. Could have been used for tours as well. I don't think I've seen anything like that before. A Woodie that large. Great video. Amazing what's still out there.

Yes, those are 1949 B1 Woodies. Civilian trucks. There was also a 1950 Power Wagon B2PW Woodie. Rare now. Not buses. Carryalls.
