I've got this tail gate. Don't know what truck it would fit, but I've been told by an expert that most of my parts are M series. I can measure it if that helps. If it is what helps you, the shipping would be the thing. I'm in GA.

I think that is a bulkhead panel that goes directly behind the seats of some open cab vehicles. They do look like gates.

I have no tailgates (they are always torn up so I just get repros), but your piece looks like the front bed panel for a Dodge WC. Which aren't M series; we didn't use the M (Model) designation for wheeled vehicles until after WW2, about 1950 or so. We did use the M for Ordnance items and tracked vehicles, as in, M1 rifle, and M4 Tank. But for wheels, we used the Manufacturer's name.
