Smoke Gray / Ford Dove Gray as well..
"It is a bit like RAL 7031 Blaugrau. Of course it's NOT the RAL colour but close to it, and better to compare than digital pictures on different monitors.
I found the blueish grey on my WC58, too and did some research about the colour, a friend of mine also has this doveblue on an unrestored engine."
"If you have access to a PPG dealer...their paint code number is DAR 4261 as researched by Paul at TM 9 paints."

This: Fleet Farm light machine gray. Others work too. A blue tint is not something I have ever seen on an original part. This is a T223, 1943, on my WC63

Re: Dodge WC '43 block color ?
that looks lovely, i hope mine turns out as well as that.
Am painting the engine this weekend. I have gone for RAL 7000, delightfully known as squirrel grey. I had a fuel pump heat shield in original paint and used a colour analysis app on my phone which measured the red, green and blue tints. RAL 7000 was the closest match i could find but i also looked at RAL 7031 and 7036. They all work i think and are available off the shelf.

Have fun with it! The correct shade can be debated between those that truly care. For me, my buddy who helped me rebuild the WC52 picked a color that has a lot more blue than what is 'correct'. But I will ALWAYS remember that it was my sons who helped me every time I see my blue motor. And those that shudder can kiss my ar$e

No debate required, actually. Your engine looks fine in the picture.
