I went electronic with mine. No one can tell without opening it up.

Freddy, I went electronic as well.
However, and depending on where you live, I take both my generator and my regulator to a local generator/starter rebuild shop here in SC, and they match both to ensure they operate well together. Where abouts are you livin'?

USAFpj;
I live in Miami. We don't have that kind of shop here anymore.
I would probably go electronic, too.
Thanks;

Thank you Freddy. Thank you. That was a fund project.
Sounds like you are hooked up. I have some of Gaston's boards in 12 volt if he is out. I won't be using them now.

Zepher11:
Just contacted Col. Barmore and will send me an 6V.
Those 12V you have can be converted to 6V ?

No, wasn't sure if your truck was an early 6 volt or 12 volt.freddy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 6:56 amZepher11:

You mean the match on the original type or do you mean the electronic as well?

Re: Voltage Regulator Dodge WC-51
No, the originals. I then sold the original VR to fund the solid state unit that Gaston Barmore makes. No need for matching components. Still 6v.
