Running board supports

Post by awddouglas » Thu Jun 24, 2021 3:42 am

As i understand it, the brackets supporting the running boards on each side of the vehicle, in my case a WC 58, should have wooden filler blocks?

Does anyone have a photo of a typical block and/or dimensions?

Also, are the fillers oak ? and do they go in all the support brackets?

Thanks

Andrew

Mine are all Oak. I will look to see if I have any loose ones around to measure (at least height and width).

Not that you have to buy from anyone...at least it shows the length, from my memory it was about an eight of an inch higher than the metal, but that was 1987, so wait for confirmation eh?

Note MWM set for $32 has one shorter than the others here

I have lots of them; the shorter one is not just shorter, it is much thinner; goes Left front; sits on top of the strut, unlike the others; three more are bigger and sit into the arm channels. Originals on the trucks I have are oak, and some poplar; so use any hard wood. Hardwood.
All Power Wagons and WCs use them. Not the civilian body Power Wagon. WDX, WM300, W300M, etc.
I'll measure them if you still need it. Let me know.
