I have a refurbished fuel tank that is installed in my WC52, and I'm nearing the point of it feeding itself, rather than relying on an external fuel source to keep it going. Before I place fuel in the tank, I have a 1/2in x 1/2in brass coarse-threaded pipe plug that secures the outlet. Should I use some teflon tape or thread locker to secure the plug?
I would hate to place gallons of fuel, only to see it leaking or weeping from the outlet..

Re: Fuel tank outlet
I used tape on mine just for a little security. It shows no signs of leakage.
Thread locker would not be my choice just in case you ever want to remove it. Applying heat to a gas tank to loosed the thread locker doesn't sound like a great idea.

Re: Fuel tank outlet
I did just that, and I'm happy to report that with the entire new fuel system of tank, flexible lines, fuel pump, and steel lines, that we had zero leaks with our test run.
