Added some LED lights to the bar project courtesy of Nairb Nosmis. Pretty neat strip of LED's. Cut to fit and self adhesive:
Also, finished up the WWII field tables. I ended up spar varnishing the one I am keeping with the a note to the two things that won the war. Dodge and Lucky Strike. I'll take the others and sell at Plymouth...maybe:
Obviously, not the best reproductions as I went 3/4" birch plywood, Poplar hardwood, and White Oak the for the legs and the rest. In any event, should last a while:
Almost can read the brand of the garage door opener from the reflection on the table I keeping for the garage:

Just looked them up. $2.53 for a 16' roll of red LED's. Not a bad price. Really bright.

I actually sneaked in a little project on the Carryall this afternoon after the ongoing storm clean up. I made some plates and welded in the studs for the mounting of the pioneer rack to the side of the Carryall:

Re: Zeph's Dodge WC26 Carryall Restoration
I took the plunge today and started to cut out metal on the wheel wells that is rusted out:
The metal from the inner wheel wells lies on top of the body metal that turns over at the exterior opening. Grinding and cutting what's left:
From what I can figure, it appears to be 18 gauge metal. I'll need to cut to fit.
Not sure what to do with the missing metal on the exterior wheel well openings where it meets the fenders when they are installed. It's pretty rough at those areas due to all the rust. I found these shrinker/strecture tools a few months back that I have no idea how to use, so started playing with them today:
Now I'm thinking that I might just cut out the whole exterior body opening and replace with this piece. Took quite a while to figure out how to use the metal shrinker and stretcher. Pretty neat tools:

Thanks Ernie. A little nervous about cutting all of the edge of the wheel well out of there. Trying to figure out how to make sure the well still fits the fender when it it bolted up. Plus, I have to replace all of the cinch nuts that were rusted out that the fender bolts go in to. I guess on a good note, I can't make it any worse...eh? At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!Ernie Baals wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 2:17 pmThat piece you made looks great!!!!

All is well. Attended the military vehicle show down south for about a week and then on a business trip for about a week. In between, I have been trying to catch up with yard work. Spring has sprung, and I still haven't cleared all the snow damage. Actually burned yesterday and today all the debris from the storms. Weird as it was over 90 degrees which seems odd to be burning, but they extended the burn period due to all the damage county wide.
Hope to resume my regularly scheduled garage time here shortly!

Hi Zeph,
Forget the yard and truck work. You should be out fishing Cottonwood Creek.
