Seeking 9x16 NDT tires in central NC

Post by Andy Cole » Mon Feb 12, 2024 5:05 am

Hey guys,

I have a 1951 Dodge M37. I am optimistic about getting a 1944 WC-51 in the next 2-3 weeks.
Both use 9 x 16 NDT tires. I am looking to replace some pretty dry and cracked tires with usable used tires.
Neither are restored (yet) so I would rather not invest in new tires at this point, preferring to use funds for the restoration of the WC.

I am going to need up to 5 decent tires. If the price is right I may be able to buy them right out. I have some (3) really nice 9x20 tires mounted on split ring rims that I could trade. One looks like it was never mounted, one has almost no wear, and one with minor wear. I have a 4th one that is rough and on a rim. The ring is off, and was that way when I got it. I have not checked the tire for holes etc.

I live in Central NC about equidistant between Raleigh and Fayetteville. I'm willing to drive an hour or so.

Thanks
Andy

I'm not in your area, but have you checked out any local salvage yards or auto shops? Sometimes they have decent used tires for a good price.

They’ve sold already.
Boooo.

I could get by with just one for the spare for a while.

Yeah, that's me. I am having them dismounted this week.
I have a commitment for the buyer to pick up Saturday but knowing how things go they could drop off the radar. I can put you as an alternative.
