Am rebuilding a 1941 Dodge WC 1/2 ton Third Series T-215, and after a year of cleaning, grinding, painting, am ready to start some re-assembly.
Am ready to torque both the front and rear axle propeller shaft companion flange nuts on the drive pinions along with the three transfer case flange nuts.
I've been told that running them on with impact wrench till the cotter pin fits will work, but wondering if anyone has something closer to a foot pound torque window?
I've found some information that would lead me to think they're are all around 150-200 Ft LBS.
Thanks

Look for a torque-tension reference guide. You can find it on the internet( Fastenal Co.). It will get you close by grade and thread size.
Coming up, the old guy who taught me Harley repair would say.."tighten it and quit" I took it to mean before it breaks.

First post I see; welcome to the forum.
What does your TM say to do? On my trucks it is 300 foot pounds, but I don't have a half ton.
Where are you located? Come over and I will show you some Dodges and how to install those nuts.
Anyway, I don't torque them on, I tighten them up and put the cotter pin in. Ain't had one fall off yet.
