About a year and a half ago I spent about 2 days working on marking my WC-51 at VMSCO as Greg finished up a 6 year restoration. I posted pictures of it and before I was even home he started mocking the font and the markings. He started calling it the Disco WC. I told him to eff off and blocked him on FB. I didn't need my 2 days of 12 hour days mocked before the paint had fully hardened.

Anyone who has seriously drilled into MV history and restorations learns the more they learn, the less they truly know. There are always exceptions and different ways were done..even at the factory.

I don't need such negativity in my life so I'm glad he's block on FB and I won't ever change that. I suggest others just do the same as I did. That decreases the size of his audience and at some point he'll know he's been shunned.

There are some people on this forum with great knowledge and can give you great advice and they tell you that your work is good. They have done the research and can tell you what is proper in a supportive way. I love that part. I love saving history. When someone starts up telling you what's wrong, immediately, it makes you wonder how they can pick apart something you put all your time and energy into. That is a good response, for them to show theirs so you can see a proper one.
I'll bet most of the time the response will be, "I don't actually have one."
