Looks nice, but...wrong carburetor and fuel pump. Single fan belt (supposed to be dual belt). Has CJ style spark plug wires and spark plugs not military waterproof. Seller says it's 12 volt instead of 24 volt (has 24V parts), can't see distributor. Motor has head bolts (supposed to be nuts on studs). Missing top radiator brace. Vacuum lines for wipers missing. A handful of other things....

It’s mine. “Wrong” tires on front and rear. (Square shoulder) but they are new and all 5 match
It Has an EXCELLENT original body. Make no mistake. It’s got fantastic original sheet metal. Can all of you state they YOUR M38 wasnt a rust bucket with welded in patches? Replacement panels? Replacement fenders? Rusted floors? Rusted hat channels? Not this one. It is ALL factory sheet metal.
Does it have dimples? Blemishes? Waves? Military repairs? Yup.
But it IS all original metal, nothing been grafted in or replaced by me.
Yes, it’s 12 volt. I like 12 volt.
Yes it has a wrong carb (but it comes with an excellent CORRECT carb)
And all the other 24 volt stuff
I made this to be a great reliable driver without putting another 2-3 k in a 24volt system.
It’s priced accordingly, or do you think it isn’t that either?
Buy it and purchase a wire harness and put it together 100% to stock and ask what others get in The 20-23k range.

Not for me to say whether or not $18,000 is a fair price, the market will do that.
Good luck with the sale! Watching with interest.

I guess you be were right:
Even a fine running M38 with excellent metal doesn’t hold or pull the value I thought
This eBay auction ran out. Sone interest but no sale
So. Price is now $17,500 for anyone interested
I won’t be re-listing on eBay
