1942 Willys MB for sale

Post by snakeriverranger » Thu Mar 30, 2023 7:05 am

Selling a project I recently got but decided to restore my CJ5. This is in need of FULL restoration or use as parts. Has original tags on frame and dash. No title. I got from a guy in town and he just had previous bill of sale. No engine. Appears to have original seat frames, axels, and transfer case/transmission. Someone did some modifications but overall original body with sides in tact. $900

Located in Portland Oregon area.

I just really want room for my cj5. If someone wanted to let me keep the wheels I would lower price.

Hello,

When you get a chance, can you post more pictures of the frame, leaf springs, etc.
Also can you post a picture of the dash tags, including the government rebuild tag at the top of the dash ?

It looks like it may have been a Moore Equipment Company rebuild, from Modesto, Cal.

Good luck with the sale, it would be a great jeep to restore, the body looks pretty decent as well, except for that odd transmission hump welded in there  !

1942 MBs don't show up all that often either !

It the frame original ?

It does look lifted, but get rid of all that bubba stuff, starting with the Cadillac steering column someone will have something great to work with.

They would then be able to start buying up missing parts to get things together for a proper restoration !

I hope someone will save it, and restore it !!

Best Regards,
Ray

Bring it to the Camp Plymouth Military Vehicle Show and Swap Meet in two weeks in Plymouth, CA. It will probably sell for more than what you will get doing it this way. Or maybe you'll sell it here and arrange to deliver it to the buyer who will be at the event. Or meet half way.

Enter it in the WW2 Jeep Showcase on Friday morning. Seriously!

Largest annual MV event west of the Mississippi. Attracts people from many states and a few countries.
