New GOODYEAR Manufactured 6.00 x 16 Tires For Sale

Guys,

Brent Mullins just called me and has a set of 5 new 6 ply Goodyear tires for sale. I told him I'd post this for him since I don't need them.

These were made by Goodyear (I think Luxembourg) about 15 years ago.

They have never been mounted and have been stored inside in a climate controlled building since he bought them.

He is selling them as a set and wants $250 each.

I used a set of these before I replaced them with the Kelsey Goodyears that Keith Buckley developed. These are great DOT approved tires and actually made by Goodyear.

I was at Brent's yesterday, these tires look great.

He's had several bites but I think he is going to post them on eBay since this post has had about 300 views and no one has bought them.

Peter, how do these compare to the other new production Goodyear tires?

They don't have the MILITARY and S-3 markings but look the part.

Call Brent and have him send you pictures so you can decide.

They are 6 ply and have the Goodyear pointed treads and Goodyear logo.

The biggest difference is these are the last ones that actually made by Goodyear.

Are these the same as the ones you used to have on your british Jeep with the special bumpers and lights?
If so, they had european ECE numbers and if memory serves me correctly were made in Aurangabad India.
They are good tires.

I keep my tires more than that which isn't the best
thing to do, but starting out on your jeep with
already 15 years on them, I don't know about that.

Age limits on tires should depend on how they were stored.
Unmounted tires stored in a cool dark place with no ozone sources or chemical fumes can have extended lives, especially bias ply tires.

Appearance will tell you alot.
