I have a bunch of what look like WW2 tire chains, most in disrepair, some maybe for parts only,, Going to shortly bead blast the ends and look for info on them per some of the old posts on here, all will be for sale shortly, weather 1 by 1 or 1 big lot, pics and price coming soon.

Re: Tire chains
I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I've been collecting tire chains from garage sales, etc. around here for my jeeps for decades and have never come up with a proper military set yet. I have been able to outfit 3 jeeps so far with proper fitting and period correct, even the right brand, but most tire chains around here are little more than hanging piles of rust. I've seen some expensive sets online including an NOS crated set someplace recently. I hope you find something decent!

Re: Tire chains
My Dad told me that before inspections, the Motor Pool Sargeant would have him hook the Tire Chains on the Pintle Hook of a Jeep and drive on a Gravel Road. After they went a Certain Distance, they would stop and reverse the chain (Rusty side down)and drive back. Cleaned off the rust ! He served in the Pacific Theatre,U.S. Army in WWII.
