Ray, thanks! I was wondering if any of you have tried a black light before to see the letters or numbers on the body? I will try that tonight when I get off work. I need a M31c pedestal mount to put the Ma Deuce M2 50cal in it. Know anyone there that might have one?

Congratulations! I think you'll be very happy with this GPW 8) Makes me envious compared to what my '43 looked like and was missing when I purchased it in 2013!!

What an outstanding and very complete survivor. They don't come much better than that, I'm quite jealous :D

Hope you get years of enjoyment from the project. Great to hear you'd like to keep it as original as possible.

That is a great find!!! Love seeing an unrestored Jeep. Neat to see the F script bolts still in place from your pics!!

Here’s a pic of the dash and pintle hook. F marked everything so far. I just received the front and rear floor pans and will have Russell Deese in Caro Ga install them. Neat jeep just the way it is but I will make it safe to drive first.

Would it be bad form to ask what price you finally bought this jeep at? Sure would help anyone else in your former shoes, reading the thread and looking to sell/buy...

That is one beautiful jeep - I think this is the best /most complete resto jeep I have seen. Over here in the UK this would be around £18K I would reckon.

Sorry for the late response. No new update with the jeep. Still trying to find someone to boil my gas tank to get that dried sludge out of it. Still looking for some used OD seat pads and a summer top.
