1945 Willy’s MB $7500 SOLD SOLD SOLD mostly original running
Both original frame and body VIN tags, clear title with MB and VIN following, original drivetrain and engine. Original front seats and gas tank. Comes with original f marked bumperettes and script era front bumper with original battle star still there. Runs great NO SMOKING. Original frame horns. In great restorative shape. Needs some body work but floors are solid. Brakes work with new Master but will need to be rebuilt or looked over. $7500 https://youtu.be/cS2CPdCVNsA
Link to see it running. Brakes work, runs and drives but has never been restored.
Bumpers not pictured. Jeep was spray painted red when I bought. I left the original interior and wheel wells which shows the OD original to it. I painted dash, window frame, and outside leaving the spray paint and possible original OD underneath. Horn works and is original. Dash gauges appear to be original. Gas tank straps original and not rusted. Seat frames original and no rust. Frame straight with original skid plates and areas of OD original paint. Needs combat rims. Comes with 3 military ND tires. Spare gas can is 1941 galvanized. Hood has original lubricant chart holder with some original writing on it. Headlights are F marked. Grille blackout lights are original and F marked. ZERO rust on windshield frame and I believe glass is original. Gear knobs are original. New front bumper comes with original and was created using old one. I have 3 of the original bolts to the front bumper. This is an amazing Jeep but I have lost interest in collecting. Very minimal rust. No issues with frame and straight from front to back. Hat channels need work on outer edges of body but surprisingly solid in center. Body has never been off frame and original fenders still have frame tabs.

Hello,
Good luck with the sale !
Looks nice !
Maybe a carb rebuild, or fuel filter, and it should run really smooth.
No engine smoke from the video, it looks like it would make a great frame off restoration !
The floors look very nice !!
It is great that you have an original front bumper as well.
Best Regards,
Ray

Hello,
Jeeps like this are a rare commodity, with the floors in such great shape.
It makes sense to buy one that will need less restoration, and starts in better shape from the beginning.
This will make a great jeep for someone, and fairly quick !
Could you post pictures of the rear floor area and tool box bottoms ?
Thanks,
Ray

Thank you Ray, here are more pics. The left panel needs work but was cut out at one time and welded back in. Solid panel except for area of axe. The rear floor is solid but the hat channel area needs attention. The hat channel section on driver and passenger edges are solid also except for the hat channel part.

Re: 1945 Willy’s MB $8900 OBO mostly original running
Hello,
Thanks for posting those additional pictures.
It really looks to be in great shape, the areas of rust on the driver's side can be patched by cutting a piece or two from a repro panel, Or as I like to do if the original formed angles are good, jsut add in pieces of new 18 gauge steel as patch panels, and fit them it, weld them up,
grind the welds down, add some "Metal to Metal" filler, to hide the weld lines, sand down, paint, and it will look great !
The tool boxes are really nice, and it is always good to have nice solid ones.
The rear floor hat channel rust holes look like they have good solid steel right up to them.
That makes it much nicer to make small repairs to the effected areas, to be able to weld in 18 gauge metal to the surrounding 18 gauge floor metal.
This Jeep will make someone very happy if they can work out a deal with you, as it is way ahead of the game that most of us are starting with
It is a beautiful 1945 Willys MB
Best Regards,
Ray

Thank you for the reply, I agree with you and really hope someone sees this for what it really is. I am just on to too many projects. This is THE most solid project I have ever had.
