Lloyd White announces a lower
SALE PRICE for his book "
FORD Builds The 1/4-Ton Truck" for $150.00 for the two volume set, plus applicable postage. The book's size is 8-1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall. It is 1,088 pages long on high quality glossy paper and contains over 500 photographs. Due to its thickness, it has been printed in two parts, Part 1 & Part 2, which together constitute one book. Neither Part will be sold separately; both Part 1 and Part 2 must be purchased together.
The SALE PRICE is $150.00 for both Parts 1 and 2, plus applicable postage and packaging charges.
Buyers may purchase the new FORD book in one of two ways, as follows:
To purchase this for mail delivery within the lower 48 states of the United States, which costs $15.00 for packaging and postage, mail a personal check, bank check or money order drawn on a U.S. bank, or a U.S. Postal Service money order, in the amount of U.S. $165.00 payable to the order of "Lloyd White" to: Lloyd White, 16652 Springwater Road, Oregon City, OR. 97045. You must include your mailing address and, if you have one, your email address.
To purchase this book for delivery to Alaska, Hawaii and outside the United States, please email your full mailing address to Lloyd at "mbgpw20atgmail.com", but before you send Lloyd an email be sure to replace "at" with the symbol "@" so this email address is one continuous word. Lloyd will then calculate the postage to your home and advise you of that amount so you can add it to the $150.00 and mail him the full payment. Postal charges vary from country to country and often among different regions within a country, so it is imperative that you email your full mailing address to Lloyd so he can calculate the correct postage charges.
Payment for orders delivered outside the U.S.A. must be in the form of a bank check or International money order payable in U.S. dollars and drawn on (1) a U.S. branch of a foreign bank which branch is located within the U.S.A. or (2) a U.S. bank located within the U.S.A. You may also pay Lloyd using an International Postal Money Order payable in U.S. dollars. Lloyd is old school and does not have a PayPal account, so alternatively you might pay a friend located within the U.S.A. by Paypal and have that friend mail to Lloyd a personal check or money order drawn on a U.S. bank for the correct total amount. Finally, for overseas orders you can pay Lloyd through Western Union payment sent to any Safeway grocery store in Oregon, as Lloyd can pick up the money at the Safeway store nearest to his home, which is: SAFEWAY #521 20151 Se Highway 212, Damascus, OR 97089-9220, 503-658-7000. That has worked successfully for overseas orders.
This book documents the development, testing, history and use of Ford's prototype Pygmy, its pre-standardized GP, its amphibious GPA and its standardized GPW. It is not a restoration guide but, instead, a historical overview of Ford's contribution to the WW II 1/4-ton 4x4 truck in various forms. The only materials duplicated from Lloyd's MB books are 178 pages of Technical Bulletins (TBs) and Modified Work Orders (MWOs) that apply to all standardized G503 1/4-ton 4x4 trucks. This was done so GPW owners will have their own copies of these government documents without having to purchase the one MB volume in which these materials appear for the Willys MB. Otherwise, the far, far majority of materials in this FORD book pertains only to Ford 1/4-ton vehicles and not to the Willys 1/4 ton trucks, with very few exceptions such as Army comparative and parts interchangeability tests. So finally, here is the book for all you Ford 1/4-ton fans out there. Enjoy!
