Re: Axe Shaft
I gave up trying to find a new one with the untrimmed fawns foot. Nobody seems to make them "pointy" these days. I finally got mine at local yard sales and refurbished them. I think the terms you'll need to search under if you want to try are " council axe handle" or "single bit axe handle" in the curved 36" size. From what I can tell they started trimming the fawns foot in the late '70's. This is the closest to the original profile that I could find; https://tennesseehickory.com/products.shtml number 1100.

Re: Axe Shaft
Same as Jeff, I found an old one at the flea for cheap.
Here is a LINK to my post.
I used an old and broken brush cutter handle to rehang a wartime Dayton pattern axe.

It's been a while since this was reposted here, and even though they recommend cutting the fawns foot yourself......https://www.fs.fed.us/t-d/pubs/pdfpubs/ ... 72pt05.pdf
