WTS True Temper axe
I have an extra True Temper Flint Edge Kelly Works 4lb. axe. Not "U.S.A."-marked and no "4" on it that I can see, so even though it's the correct size and weight, I can't say this is a bona fide "correct" axe. But it could also be that it's a '43 or later military issue when axes weren't required to be marked with "U.S.A." and I suppose there may have been a "4" marked on the bottom of the poll, as some were, but that area has seen a lot of use and there's no evidence of one now. It has a 36" fawn's foot handle. The handle was repaired with a hardwood inlay where it had been damaged just below the head and the bottom has a slightly flattened spot where it was apparently dropped. The head has been well-used and has nicks and dents. Still a nice-looking axe for your Jeep or other MV. I couldn't upload all the pictures but if someone has any interest, I have more showing details, dimensions, etc. and I can email them. $65.00 plus shipping.

Is 65 bucks too much? What's it worth then? Somewhere there's an empty axe bracket that needs filling!

Re: WTS True Temper axe
I believe they had dropped the requirement for the USA and the weight being stamped on the head by the end of the war. Not sure where I read that, but I recall it being somewhere.
The tool thread doesn't always move fast and sometimes it takes a while for someone to wander in and buy something.
The handle is nice.
Good luck on the sale!
