Carpenter Set No. 2

Post by 17thAirborne » Sat Mar 14, 2020 6:15 pm

Although it is still in storage, I have a Carpenter's Set No 2 that I had been previously working on. I hope to get it unpacked soon and start completing the fill. Here are the two previously posted images.

I was at the Show of Show last month unpacking my wares on set-up day, looked over at my neighbor's table and spied this gem. Just as called for in the Carpenter Set No 2 contents label:

Bag, Canvas, Nail, Depth 13 3/4", Depth 7 1/8"

The bag matches perfectly. When opened up the diameter is at 7 1/8". I have searched for one for several years.

Oz,
That actually looks like it might be an easier set to complete than the Number 1

Fewer items to find and very common stuff except the Nail Bags, and of course you need two of those. :?

Here is a label for a Carpenter Set No. 2 posted on the US Militaria Forum. It lists the same materials, but is from a different manufacturer. The case is pretty much the same as mine.

Rapid progress. A few more things to find, and the saw is not correct. I have to research that first.
