Re: mudbox's flea finds
Thanks Don! I probably spent no more than $7 to get both of those Brazil boxes. I'll try and get the midget box out to you this week.
Phil... all I can say is Finders Keepers.
Though, I'll let you keep her... she belongs in your state.

Haven't been to the flea in a while now, but it was very nice out today so I braved the COVID and set out.

Barcalo 1033C and 1027C
Cornwell gap tool
3/8" drive Cornwell speeder
and a 3/8" drive G series Duro Chrome universal joint

It was Barcalo day at your flea! Well done.
Been a couple weeks since I got to my flea, or saw an estate sale worth hitting. Maybe this week...

Nice finds, Jason. Ever notice how Barcalos always align themselves to point west towards the Bay Area?mudbox wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 2:29 pmHaven't been to the flea in a while now, but it was very nice out today so I braved the COVID and set out.

Re: mudbox's flea finds
Thanks guys! It was nice to escape the house for a bit.
Barcalo day indeed. Found a whole bunch of non wartime hand tools as well. Should hold me over for a bit!
Bill, I think there is some type of magnet out there on the left coast that keeps attracting all that Barcalo!

Whoa! There must be something about those Left Coasts!
That’s quite a collection there, Len!
Well have to crown a champion on sheer tonnage!

Re: mudbox's flea finds
I found what I think is a handful of wartime goodies today at the flea.
Everything came out of the same crappy plastic carry box, but I could see a few good names like Wright (-42), Plomb, Arcturus, Duro.
I'm going to clean everything up and see what I've got. Stay tuned.

'33 patent date Channellock pump pliers, P&C 8" adjustable, Barcalo 6", U.S. marked Crescent dykes, DI socket, Kreiger / Bonney wrench, and a huge TRUTH 1" drive socket.
Here's the TRUTH socket all cleaned up. Padlock for scale:

Re: mudbox's flea finds
Been a few weeks, probably months, since I've been to the flea. I managed to get paroled for a few hours last weekend. Happened to be not far from U.S. 127 which is the route of the 'longest yard sale'.
Driving down the road, I stopped at a parking lot full of vendors and spied some Jeep grills stacked up in the corner. Dude had 6 of them left and said that he had already sold 6 of them the previous day!
Well, I bought the 2 that still had the original Willys Overland Mtrs stickers on them from 1953! I believe their M38a1 grills. My plan is to light one up and hang it in the barn that I'm about to build. Should be pretty cool.
