Wow. The opposite of procrastination! Looks great. And thanks for the dimensions and squared-up photo.Len Jones wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 12:01 pmUsing this lower half of a press tool that I made many years ago for G503 cable clips, and with a few little adjustment I was able to reproduce the basic shape using some 22 gauge CR4. Re: Tools in my NAF Kennedy cantilever box
Since the NAF box was starting to get a little difficult to close, I mostly emptied it out and removed some duplicates that had somehow gotten inside. I took some random pictures of the contents while I was reorganizing.

Your Brink & Cotton G-clamp reminded me of a previous posting of mine that showed two clamps made by the same manufacturer that I found whilst helping to clear out a relative's garage:

I picked up a new size of Plomb NAF spark plug socket off of eBay. The Navy Stock No is R41-W-3033-64.

Re: Tools in my NAF Kennedy cantilever box
Thanks to an alert from Len, I was able to make a reasonable offer on this Snap-on NAF 1-1/4” socket which was accepted by the seller. It arrived last night.

Re: Tools in my NAF Kennedy cantilever box
Before I started the project, I received a scanned copy of a 1944 NAF Hand Tool catalog that Wingnutt had available. Since I had several of the tools on hand I thought it might be fun to put together a collection in a Kennedy cantilever box like the one you are going to use. When issued by the Navy, the boxes were empty. I’m not sure what the procedure was to order tools for the boxes during the war. Good luck with your collection.

I would suggest that you contact Wingnutt via PM and see if he has anymore copies available.
After cleanup, the finish on this Starrett gauge suggests wartime to me. It will be added to the NAF box.

I’ve picked up a couple of NOS sealed Plomb socket boxes off of eBay recently. They are now residing in the NAF toolbox.

Steve, that is a Crescent nail puller. One is shown in the NAF catalog. Here is a more recent picture showing the puller on the left side.

Re: Tools in my NAF Kennedy cantilever box
Aha didn't tie Crescent into other tool lines. Those would be for pulling cut nails and square head flooring nails along with regular nails. Nice.
