Re: Flea Market
A pretty good morning at the flea. Most pertinent here is the Camillus TL-29 and the Boker leather hole punch. Its really hard to pass up these electricians knives at the flea. They are usually very reasonably priced and they are just a very cool, well made and useful knife.

Re: Flea Market
Those are good finds, Phil. I can’t tell what brand the auto tool kit wrench is but I found several of those at an Albany estate sale yesterday. It was a family run sale and it turns out that one of the family members was a classmate of my wife’s. I’m not sure if it had any impact on the prices but it probably didn’t hurt. Besides the wrenches here are some of the wartime finds.

Don,
The wrench is a Barcalo. Another ignition wrench set? You are on a roll!

Re: Flea Market
Just made it back from Orlando where I helped my daughter move earlier this week. Of course I took the opportunity to hit the local flea markets. I usually go over the winter months and while I knew they would be slower I was very surprised at just how how slow they were. I still managed to find a few things.

A few cool finds this morning. A B&S auto wrench, 1723 Herbrand, some really cool pins in an even cooler case and a couple of advertising booklets.

Here are a few more from the Tahoe flea in the last couple of weeks. I thought that the lower S-K spinner was unmarked but after placing it next to one I already had I finally found the markings.

Re: Flea Market
Don,
Great finds. If you happen to find any extra 16oz Vlcek hammers that you don't need let me know. I'd like to have some more for my Willys sets.
The Barcalo you found with the geometric pattern reminded me to check for it in my '58 Barcalo catalog.
I also noted that the style of brand stamping that I use (and I think you do as well) to date ww2 era Barcalo pliers and crescent adj wrenches for on board tool kits and GMTK's was used well into the 50's.

Re: Flea Market
Actually, the adjustable wrench is later than ones we consider wartime. It is obviously the Danielson style made at this point in time by the Proto empire. It looks like Barcalo was no longer manufacturing their own adjustable wrenches. Those pliers are slightly different as well.

Re: Flea Market
Excellent observations Don! Though to my eye the BB looks forged in and not stamped on the adjustable wrench in the catalog (of course keeping in mind that it is an artist rendering).

Re: Flea Market
I’m pretty sure that look was added by the artist. All of the adjustable wrenches of that Danielson style made by Proto had the various brands stamped in. Here are some examples.
