Re: 1959 Hotchkiss M201
Hello Graffiti ,
It sounds like a great Jeep,
and we know they are
Great Jeeps !!
I would recommend adding this post to the MB / GPW for sale section at the top of the forum page.
Many people will see it !
I don't think many people ever get down to the lonely M201 section here ☹
Good luck with the sale !!
Maybe post some pictures there too !!
Best Regards,
Ray

Interesting Ray,
I posted it above and its been removed!
Maybe they don’t see it as a Willys even though many were made under license.
Funny it is that as I see a GPW advertised on Milweb been rebuilt using nos WOF parts….

Hello ,
That is very strange !!
Contact Bill H , he is a moderator and see what happened.
Did you accidently hit the delete post button ?
The WOF jeep is a Willys jeep.
I would post it again, but also send a message to Bill.
His name is highlighted in green on several posts there.
I seem to remember a while back someone was looking for an m201 in Europe.
Good Luck,
Ray

The post was removed because it was a duplicate post. It was also in the wrong section. I can't catch all posts but I do try to keep up with them. I move a great deal of wrongly placed posts and delete a lot of duplicate posts.

Re: 1959 Hotchkiss M201
Hello Bill,
The post was for selling a Hotchkiss M201 MB-GPW type Jeep, as used by the French Army from post WW2 until the 2000's.
I had mentioned to Graffiti, that it would actually be seen for sale, in the MB -GPW for sale section, as opposed to down here in the lonely M201 section.
The Jeep was made under license from Willys Overland in France to supplement all the WW2 Jeeps in their inventory, and directly based on the MB design.
It is basically the same jeep .
Maybe if there is an earlier post for it, Graffiti can add an update to the for sale post, as still being for sale and available .
Thanks for the update.
Best Regards,
Ray

Thanks for the support Ray, I’ll call it a day as I don’t want to start a war of words. It might have been removed in error so we’ll leave it at that.
Thanks again
Nick
