Fantastic !!!
That is a great jeep !!!!!

The green tagged regulator appears to me to be a US made 12 Volt Regulator.
I think your jeep is a factory built 12 Volt Jeep, The big bracket between your driver and passenger seat appears to be
part of the big battery box assembly for the 12 Volt Jeeps.

Can you post more pictures of your glove box data plates, and dash ?
Is there a notch on your dash top about the center top of the dash ?
It is possible that you have a ITM rebuilt jeep that likely was originally a US 12 Volt jeep.
There is a French rebuild tag on your glove box, the small rectangular one.

I have a 1943 Willys MB VLTT jeep from France, here in Florida,USA, that has some WOF parts on it.
But it is a US Willys MB, Body, frame, and engine.
VLTT is : Voiture Legere Tout Terrain
The data plate says Modele: Willys
The other data plate says Willys MB with US Serial Number.
The tub is US ACM 2, but the 2 rear wheel wells were replaced with Hotchkiss wheel wells, welded in position, at La Maltournee in 1962 rebuild.

Look on your jeep to see if holes have been welded up !
On mine, the hood block screw holes were welded shut, and the first aid kit screw holes on dash were welded shut as well.

I also bought parts from what was left over from a 12 Volt ex French jeep that looked like yours that had a radio battery box between the seats.
It has the exact same 12 Volt regulator, I only have from that jeep the WOF engine, Green tagged 12 Volt regulator, a big US 12 Volt generator, the glove box with French data plates, the wof grill, the US made hood, and some additional French parts.

Stanles, is a wealth of information on M201 and ITM jeeps !

Your front bumper number 275 0310 indicates the following information:

2 = Armee de Terre (1960's) Served with the French Army
7 = 1967
5= Indicates that your jeep was a freshly " rebuilt" older jeep - not a new jeep from the factory .

So likely that means that your jeep was rebuilt in 1967 and registered as a rebuilt jeep for the French Army in 1967 !

The 0310 indicates that it was the 310th jeep to be rebuilt in 1967 at the rebuild depot indicated on the little data plate on your glove box.

Being rebuilt in 1967 is likely why it still looks so nice and new :D
A US factory built 12 volt jeep is fairly rare, if that is what you have.

Your tactical markings that I can see are :

CCS = Compagnie de Commandement et de Service ----- Command and Services Company
[ X ] = Infanterie "Chasseurs" ------ Light Infantry Regiment using only soft skin vehicles
DM = Division Militaire ---- Military Division

The numbers I can not read on your bumper....... but they would be the Company number painted under the CCS, and the Division number painted above the DM
If you can uncover them on the bumper or the rear bumperettes you will have the French Army Unit that your jeep served with !!!!
Then you can find out where they were stationed in France or Germany and have a nice history of your great Jeep !!!!

Does your jeep have holes drilled around the driver's and passenger entry areas for the brass grommets for the canvas half doors ?
If so it is could very likely be a US Jeep body !!

Also see if it has a body number stamped along the front driver's side body gusset where the body bolts to the frame, that would confirm things.

Here you can see if you have an MB frame or a Hotchkiss frame based on the front crossmember tube, underside indentations.

Hello Stanles ,

Great pictures !
It looks like you have holes drilled for the brass snaps for half curtains at the doorways.
F marked body handle and F marked bolts !
My VLTT MB has Ford Body handles just like that, and a F marked rear seat !

A lot of interesting features, it looks like that grill may be US, as it appears to be stamped deeper than a French one.
a closer pic may be needed to see.

Any of the dash and glove box , and wheel wells behind the drivers and passenger seats ?

Hello Stanles,

You are making great progress !
Looking like you will have it in restored condition very soon, based on your other nice vehicles!

That BO Driving light mystery plate is French, as far as I know.
I have one just like it on a Hotchkiss tub,
The front side is just like yours,
and it is printed on the back side with the same US style printing.

The switch I have is French made, with that same plate.
The lever for the switch is a wider, and shaped like a segment of a Maltese Cross, with a tapered look.

I do not know much about it, but I am sure a French restorer would be very familiar with them.
Maybe the French Army had piles of US marked plates, and just turned them over and marked them with their marking, and
assembled them with new WOF switches ?
It is strange that it would be printed on both sides !

Those F script parts look real nice too !!
