conversion : 10 psi = 0.68 atm, so you can calculate

Or 14.7 psi = 1 atmosphere = 100 kpa approx
Idle about 10 psi & high idle about 45 psi

Sirs,

Thanks for the replay, but I do not understand. I do not know the measure used in hotchkiss oil gauges. I am asking this, because this weekend I am going to buy a M201, and would like to know what the clock should read if the engine is running good.

Thank you

Hi,
I think what's being said is that 1 bar = 14,7psi. So if your M201 has a gauge that reads in bar - usually 0-6 bar, then expected oil pressures for idling in Artificer's post would be 1,47 bar to 3,06 bar. My engine which is a French 6 volt L134 runs between 2 and 5 bar.

Hope this is helpful
All the best
Fred :)
