Hi Gang,
getting my chassis ready to accept the refinished body, installing drive shafts and emergency brakes,
cleaned up what i thought was the front drive shaft, got the U joints in and it seems to long?
was the CJ2a drive shaft longer than the MB, just curious as many of the parts on my MB are clearly of CJ origin,
any direction on the interchange of these drive shafts would be great!
thanks Justin
mb front and rear drive shafts

Re: mb front and rear drive shafts
Yup. There are differences due to the T90 and the model 41 or 44 rear axle. There's a chart here somewhere with all the measurements that I've used to solve that very issue.

Re: mb front and rear drive shafts
I can't help you with the front one, but (go figure) after I cleaned up and prepped a set for my project I stumbled across three rear driveshafts on the shelf. One is a fatty, which I think is early MB or slattie (need to verify) and the other two are marked MB/GPW. I'd have to clean them up to see whether they're actually MB or GPW but they're for sale now that I re-discovered them. PM me if you're interested. Everything in the crate is either M38/A1/CJ, the three on the table are MB/GPW rears.
