Torque Reaction Spring Cracked, Repairable?
I recently sandblasted my TRS which at first appeared to be in great condition with no corrosion, only to realize I had cracks emanating from two of the holes. Is this something that I can weld without compromising the integrity, or should I just replace? Notice how it is also bulged. I think I know the answer, but it would be nice to keep things original and also save some money if possible. Thanks.

I don't know if it can be welded or if it "spring type steel" or just regular steel.
But it is a very important part for stability and safety, and that looks used up around the key bolt holes.
Hopefully someone will know more about the type of steel, and if it is repairable.
Best Regards,
Ray

IMHO (you asked)
I would grind a vee, weld, grind flush, this would induce localized heat, then heat red and quench in oil, reheat yellow and let cool (look up the tempering steps for spring steel...)

Yes they are spring steel.
I would do, nothing; your cracks emanate from outside of the hole, they were punched and you can see how they were made. The thin outside was harder than the main part of the spring.
The spring won't crack on the inside.
And/or, you can weld them as WW said and it won't hurt anything. Or help. I definitely would not heat them up and quench them; not necessary, and you might make them brittle. You are MIG or TIG welding just the outside of the hole.
I would actually probably TIG them up and use them. TIG localizes heat and the main part of the leaf will not be affected at all. I would do it just for looks; not because performance will be affected before or after. Some bubble gum in the crack will do the same thing.

And who knows how long those little cracks have been there. Maybe for a long time? You only found out by sand blasting it.
MIG or TIG it and you'll be fine.
