Could someone help me find what Distibutor I have in my MB? What cap, rotor, points, condenser do I need? ( Sorry It's upside down.)
Thank you.

Hello Pat,

That looks like the number for a late war dustless Autolite distibutor.

The cap and rotor, etc should be the same for them all.

Give Ron a call, as he would have what you need, and if there are any variations.

This has some info on your model distributor and cap.

Best Regards,
Ray

Same as CJ2-A, 1945-49, if that’s any help at the parts store.

That’s a Prestolite distributor instead of an Autolite. I know because of the tag shape and location. It’s the same distributor with just a different tag. Please don’t ask me to explain when what became what and when. That would take a small book.

Correct, that is a Prestolite tag. Autolite became Prestolite in 1962. That distributor was made in August of 1968.

Mike,

Stop trolling and stay in your lane, Ford didn't make distributors! It was an MB question...HA!

Looking forward to picking up my copies of your book at the Convention.

Cheers,
Peter
