update, as you can see the bow brackets exactly the same, but 1 is brass. came from a late 42 gpw that went through a moore rebuild program. has anyone seen a brass bracket?

I have a set of brass brackets, however, they came with thousands of other parts I acquired from Terry at Classic Military in Santa Rosa. I always assumed they were reproduction.

That would have been a real Big waste of brass? Maybe /possibly very early. But certainly not later on. Repro(in my opinion) Parker as for the marking surely that would have been replicated in the sand mould?

Exactly. I assume it's brass reproduction because even some home shops could melt brass and make a casting, but iron, not so much. When I was in Jr. High our shop class had a forge and we made all sorts of aluminum sand castings. I'm guessing a brass item like that was made in a similar manner.
