Location of screws holding the tub to the chassis

Post by Gerwald Jaritz » Mon Sep 13, 2021 7:46 am

Dear Jeep Experts,
After 78 years of productive life my old fellow needs a serious rust tratement. I plan to separate the tub from the chassis to have easier access to the rust damaged areas for repair. To make this separation more easy it would be very helpful to know the location of the screws holding them together.maybe somebody of you have a drawing A sketch one would be good enough. If so pls mail it to me. Many thks in advance. Have a nice day.

hmm, wie wärs mit TM 9-1803B, Abschnitt 41.
Geht Punkt für Punkt vor und zu Beginn steht immer, wieviele Bolzen/Schrauben es sind.
Drunterlegen muss man sich ohnehin...

And from the above:
Translated (BUT then I see they are BOTH in Austria...  ):

hmm, how about TM 9-1803B, section 41. Proceed point by point and at the beginning it always says how many bolts / screws there are.
You have to lie down anyway ...

Never drill holes in a tub without first setting it on the frame and marking the hole locations. You will regret it if you do; frames and bodies change over 80 years. So, giving you locations, is unnecessary and potentially bad. So, weld in your new floors, set it on the frame and make sure the fenders, etc, fit, and then drill the holes. Not the other way around.
And of course, the types of bolts, nuts and washers, are in the SNL, as provided above.
