Bimini Top

Curious for those that have a ‘41-45 Jeep … do most of you keep the support bars on for the Bimini top or take them off when going topless. Also do most of you go topless the majority of the time? Just trying to understand because I know it can be a pain to put on and takeoff.

As they say, a picture is worth 1000 words.

Never heard of a Bimini top. Post a picture.
Of course the top bows are stowed on the jeep, as in JT's picture above. That is why you have the stowage brackets on the bows and body.
Yes, one picture is worth 1000 words, but remember, those were Chinese words.

I’m sure the OP fat fingered “bikini”.

As far as the other…”Henrik Ibsen first said "A thousand words leave not the same deep impression as does a single deed." After his death in 1906 this quote was plagiarized and para-phrased into what we know now.”

Then I don't know what a Bikini top is either, other than the commercial thing sold for CJ beach buggies. Certainly not anything original or military.
Never heard of him; I will go with Confucius saying it. I did look it up. I won't remember some Swedish guy's name anyway.

I'm assuming the OP just meant "soft top" or "canvas top". I know a Bimini top is usually used on boats and basically has an open front. I guess it's a pretty close description to the canvas top we have on our Jeeps.

Either way, I don't know why you would remove the bows from the Jeep when there is a perfectly good way to store them on the vehicle. Just more chance of scratching it too.

The Bikini Jeep top I have seen looks nothing like the WW2 Jeep top; it has no back at all; just two long straps, and the actual top does not cover the entire floor; like a girl's bikini top.

Maybe the OP meant a summer top.

That’s what I thought, too. We’ve made this way too hard on him. Sorry buddy.
