Not jeep...any ideas....?

I've had these 'swing arms' kicking around my garage for over 40 years and don't know what they are for. They came with a bunch of jeep parts I acquired as a kid rebuilding my first jeep....a '47 2A. Came across them while cleaning the other day. They aren't for the Model A Ford (according to the experts), so do any of you 'general military vehicle knowledge' guys have any ideas? Inquiring minds would like to know so I don't 'throw them out'! They are 6 1/2" long with a ~7/16" hole. It's the curve that has me baffled.
