TR bolts on the outer windshield.

Post by sam C. » Mon Jun 18, 2018 1:40 am

My windshield latches are held on by bolts that have TR on the heads. All four bolts (two per latch) have the same TR stamp.
Was this standard for these bolts to have TR on them?

For early MBs yes TR was a standard bolt head marking. Not saying they werent used for later MBs but they were more commonly CTR marked in that location later on.

I'll take a picture tonight or tomorrow. I'm not sure how to tell if they're high head. I don't think they are.
They are on a windshield that has brackets for the rifle/gun carrier (the name of which, escapes me at the moment) so I figure it's a later windshield. Though I've forgotten when they added the brackets.
The windshield came off a CJ2a in Kentucky. A friend put me on to it. Other than having been painted maroon, it's in excellent shape.
Pictures coming soon.

Sam
