That is what I have been told it the proper British/Cnd blackout headlamp. As for being used on Airborn jeeps it sure looks correct.

It is identical to the one I have on my Jeep.

When the bulb inside burns out unscrew the 3 outer screws. The sheet metal cover/hood come off as one part. However sometimes the rubber gasket underneath will stick. Just keep woring at it and it will come off. DOnt undo the 3 inside screws as they hold the light filter on. The bulb is a Mazda 2530 with a 50 & 32 CP, 6-8V.

Here is the headlamp in my Jeep. I also made up a sheet metal bridge sign and have it bolted on with a bracket covering the other headlamp. Just unbolt and I have full headlights.

Try out Brian with his email address below. He is located in Ontario, Canada. Can't remember price. The PO of my Jeep got it from him a few years ago. Brian is great to deal with and is very fast on shipping out the parts.

.As far as my understanding goes ..Britisn Lamps will probably be marked "Buttler" with a W "" An Arrow Pointing Up "" D pressed into it.

They weren't only used by the Canadians and British.
US Army Armored units also used those BO head lamps on some of their jeeps. I have photos and books that show them in the combat zones, 2ed Armored Div comes to mind, among others, usually on the drivers side, with a canvas cover over the other headlight. Brian Asbury is the guy to locate one.
