In the words of Gary Coleman's character, Arnold Jackson, from the hit NBC sitcom Diff'rent Strokes, "Clarify your statement, Willis."

I have a Hood , front fenders and a grill from a Mb/GPW and was wondering if they would bolt onto a 53 M-38 jeep ?

Even thinking this AND THEN typing it on this board is reason enough for mods to drop the ban hammer. BAN!! HERESY!!!

It's his jeep; so do what you want with them.
Hood; yes, but on the right side of the M38 has the slave receptacle and the snorkel bracket; no provision for that on the MB hood. Either remove the receptacle or cut a big notch in the hood.
Grill; no; the M38 is held on by the pivots; the MB is held on with brackets on the frame. You can always convert one to the other, with parts but it won't go on as is.
Fenders; yes, with a caveat; not sure if the battery box will clear since the M38 fenders are made for that.

I only wanted to see if parts would bolt on, have no intention of cutting or modifying the Mb/Gpw parts in any way. Only wanted to try out the M-38 that I bought sight unseen, big, big mistake, thought that the po was a fellow you could trust. All my fault completely , when I grew up you could trust most people, apparently not so much anymore,

That would be an M38A1, not an M38. M38's wasn't made in 1953.

Never trust anyone on vehicles; look at it first. At least get detailed pictures. Everyone's junk is listed as gold when it is for sale.

???
What makes you think you will get what is in the picture, TJ ???
I like to hold used parts in my greasy hands before shelling out my hard earned $$$.
I agree. The world is not like it was. Although there was a few shysters back in the day.

Like I said, it's my fault for not going to check it out, distance and time were a factor. It looked good (salty) in the pics but cool. ,He even sent a video of him driving it around his property, seems it slipped his mind 3rd gear was out. lots of rust and many other things. Got put in the club on this deal but will gather enough parts to make it a driver.
I did run across a few shysters way back in the day but it seems they have multiplied.
